You cannot maintain a sound body with out a sound mind

A 100-year-old school teacher is a perfect example of what I mean.  Olivia was interviewed on an evening TV show yesterday sharing her thoughts on keeping busy and having a purpose for living.  She feels needed and valued by the school where she teaches kindergarten children how to read.  She has been doing this since 1935 and her passion is driving her purpose or maybe her purpose is driving her passion.  One thing is certain, she has discovered how to maintain a sound body and mind as she has experienced life the way she designed it.  Research has shown that a high degree of prolonged stress causes rapid aging.  Whether it is long-term stress or situations where you feel out of control, the end result is it can cause a myriad of complications.  The key is to work at de-activating your stress level so as to reduce long-term consequences.  Have you ever noticed how your immune system is compromised when you experience a stressful situation?  We can quickly go into a panic mode but coming out of it is often a slower process.

This wasn’t meant to be a doom and gloom article so I think I better move on and say there are many things you can do to prevent long-term dis-ease within the mind and body connection.  Man’s greatest enemy is within himself.  Therefore, it is imperative for us to stay conscious of what is needed in order to remain healthy—mentally, physically and spiritually.

We all have the power within to self-destruct or to succeed.  A person who is grounded and centered in right thinking is the person who can conquer anything.  Olivia, the 100 year old school teacher, is a wonderful example of that truth.  She is a person who believes in herself and stands tall, knowing with every fiber of her heart and soul that she has right thinking and cannot be touched or influenced by the negative thoughts of others.

I believe that we are all born with limitless potentiality and it is our responsibility to follow the clues of life that will show us how to achieve and experience our greatness.  Everything in life is achieved in degrees.  It doesn’t matter how fast you get there or how much you acquire, what truly matters is that you keep trying until you reach the finish line [whatever the finish line is for you].  Only you know the answer to that question.  We each have our own agenda.  So stop trying to follow someone else’s lead.  Stand tall and keep your feet firmly grounded in your truth; keep your body in shape by exercise and eating healthy and exercise your mind daily by maintaining a positive attitude. Always seek knowledge; I have always said that I will learn something knew on the day I die.  I have a childlike curiosity and I welcome change into my life.  I love nature and I allow it to stimulate my senses with its awesome energy and beauty.  I hope I have given you some food for thought?
