If you are one who feels good about expressing yourself in
life, then you certainly are not one to take the line of least resistance. If you want an easy life, then you must
settle for a life of mediocrity for that is what you have created. It is not easy to face challenges, pain
and/or suffering in life, however, when that is what we are facing, it is
important to be strong and remember to support your beliefs by taking a step
back so that you can access the situation with wisdom and clarity. If you are wise, you will believe that
you can make a difference in the world, if for no other reason, but to look in
the mirror and say to yourself—I am okay and I have something special to say,
do and appreciate and I refuse to allow anyone to spoil that view.
The question to ask yourself is—Do I want to function at
my highest speed and most authentic self or am I content to simply slide
by? As always you get to decide
your fate. Too often we want to
give our power to others---it is as though we hand over our fate to others in
the hopes that they, the indifferent social majority will work on our
behalf----that is false. No one
will ever do for you what you can do for yourself.
- No one
will be concerned with what is intended for your higher best good as much
as you will
- No one
will give you all that you deserve like you can
- And No
one will love you and respect you as much as you are capable of doing
So why—why do so many people give their power away? It is simple--- we don’t care
sufficiently about our lives to fight for what we know is our destiny. It requires that we work for it because
we believe in our capabilities and what is our birth-right.
I understand that there are times in life when we are
faced with situations that cause us to shut down or block out and even hide
from reality but that is the perfect time when we need to shore ourselves up
and take a step back as you re-evaluate your situation. If something is not going your way,
stop and think— maybe you need to see the bigger picture or maybe you simply
need to show others that you can be more resilient. Resilience is an inner strength that comes from believing in
your self and feeling confident about your abilities.
Having a strong sense of self-worth is helpful because it
allows you to push forward and recover quickly. Being optimistic is also another valuable trait that will
help you push through a dark period in your life and seek the light. Worry and fear only stop us short and
forces us into a negative state so I encourage you to accept the fact that
change happens and even if for the moment it appears to be challenging, embrace
it. Change and your willingness to
be flexible are essential parts of resilience so when difficulty knock on your
door, take a step back and allow it to express itself to you. There may be a message for you or even
a silver lining that is about to be shown but if you move into fear, worry or
anger, you most probably will miss something of great value.
There are always solutions to all of life’s
situations. Learn to slow down,
breath and take a step back so that you can see more clearly the plan or
approach that best suits your needs and then take the right action or strategy
to resolve and transform your circumstances.
