Your Choice - Success or Failure

Each and every day we are continually making choices and just think about it, even if you procrastinate and do nothing—that, too, is a choice.   Too often, I have discovered that people take their decision-making process too lightly and consequently they find themselves failing in some of their endeavors and then wondering what happened.  That is why it is very important to be prepared—maybe even slow down your decision making process so that you can have a clear vision of how you wish the outcome to be.   We tend to move along on autopilot—daydreaming or zoning out when we should be concentrating on the issue at hand.

Our lives are continually affected by a simple yet profound Law of the Universe—the Law of Cause and Effect.  That Law reminds us that all our choices influence our outcome.  Are you aware that for each decision  you make, the reasoning behind the why you do something is causing an effect on someone or something and that effect can result in either a successful or unsuccessful experience.   Because cause and effect is a Universal Law, we have no discretionary privilege or means to change it –this Law is specific and it responds to the way we act—react—think and behave without exception.
Many people have no idea how this actually works.  They believe because they work hard, that their outcome should be positive, but it doesn’t work that way.  Working hard only keeps you exhausted and drains your energy, working smarter is the key to your success.  To do your work with love and joy and excitement is what enables you to be successful.  Being a responsible person and performing with integrity as you hope to create something for the highest good for all usually results in benefits that seem to flow with ease.  “Choose a job that you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”-  Confusius
A negative attitude, poor habits and work ethic definitely affect your results.  If you waste time, feel lazy and always thinking that you deserve better, you are setting yourself up for failure and negative effects.  Understanding how this works will save you a lot of anguish in the future.  The more positive you act, think and behave on a daily basis determines the quality of life you will experience.
Another way to look at it is in relationship to a plant—what you sow is what you reap.  If a good and healthy seed is planted, water and placed in the sunlight, it will product a healthy plant when it is nurtured properly.  The process is exact and precise—the seed that is planted must produce the type of plant that the seed was germinated to produce.  Using the proper tools, materials and procedure makes for a successful outcome.
Choose wisely and watch what happens to you and for you.  The next time you are faced with making an important decision or choice, I encourage you to step back and review what it is that you are seeking to accomplish.  Be honest and truthful with yourself, understand your capabilities and shortcomings take responsibility for your behavior and make your choice consciously.
You have brains in your head.  You have feet in your shoes.  You can steer yourself in any direction you choose.  You’re on your own, and you know what you know.  And you are the guy who’ll decide where to go.” –Dr. Seuss
