When people experience a typical
and less than desirable circumstances in their lives, there is sometimes a
tendency to become habitually pessimistic. Pessimism can and will lead to even
more negative outcomes. But know this:
All that is required to change your habit is practicing
positive thinking. When you practice positivity, you affect your overall
wellbeing and actually shift gears that will ultimately shift behavior.
Positive thinking affects
your environment in impressive ways. A positive
foundation helps you feel better about yourself, your life, your present
state, and your future. The more you open up to poteniality in your life, the more you will start realizing prosperity and success. That is a fact.
In the
2006 film, Facing the
Giants, a highschool team had already chosen that they were not
going to win any games. Essentially,
they had already decided to give up before they would even try. The coach,
however, believed there was only one way to motivate his team; and that was by
reinforcing positive personal power the
team already had by instilling gratitude
and courage in each and everyone of them. He did this first by showing what
"blind faith" is by literally blindfolding the quarterback
while having him perform the "death crawl". In seeing the spectacular
feat that could be accomplished, the remaining team members were stunned. When
these football players first understood they needed blind faith and that they
needed to be thankful for every win or
loss; they also began to understand that they were capable of accomplishing extraordinary deeds. It
was through their positive thinking
and blind faith that took their highschool team all the way to the state
championship. The truth is that if you believe you will fail or succeed, you
are right either way. Like the team in the film, you must practice positivity
regardless of the outcome. In the end, just like the football team was
successfully able to achieve remarkable
feats (even when the odds were stacked against them) - you can, too.
I want
you to practice blind faith in yourself by putting trust in the choices you
make for yourself and for your life. Base your choices in the knowingness that no matter the outcome,
you will be grateful for the experience. Remember this, the events that life
throws your way will not always be perfect. There will be times when you will
feel defeated and that is normal because you are only human. But never permit
negativity to become the driver of your life. If you do experience defeat, that
is the best time for you to reevaluate
your perception on the situation. It is important to learn from challenges and obstacles so that you can improve your
choices next time to set yourself up for success. I promise you that the
Universe is not out to get you. In fact, the opposite is true. The more you
begin to have faith in yourself and
the actions you take, the more you will start to see real attainable prosperity. Practice positivity and you cannot go wrong.
