The
statement, who do you think you are, is more about your soul seeking the answer and not your
head. It might require you sitting
in a quiet place so that the stillness can speak to you and invite you to
explore those aspects of self that quite possibly have been ignored.
Some
people think that they are nobodies—their mind has been brainwashed to believe
that they are socially awkward and different from others. They don’t fit in and
they feel insecure as well as lack self-confidence. I know a teenage who has
low self-esteem, he doesn’t feel as though he has a support team to help him
survive in the tumultuous times of his teens so he has become lazy, lacks
motivation and is passively angry.
He actually has a very high IQ but because he doesn’t feel socially
accepted, he has withdrawn and decided that he does not have the skills or
ability to get through. At this moment in his life he is experiencing emotional
and physical discomfort. The more he gives up and gives in the more depressed
he becomes and the less his family seem to notice and help. Who does he
think he is? I asked that question of him but he was
unsure how to respond because he was not sure of who he is or what he needs to
do to get out of this uneasy situation.
His only comments are—it is hard!

Who
do you think you are and why? It is
important for you to evaluate your attributes and character traits and also
your shortcomings and learn from them, identify with those qualities that will
enhance you and your life and attempt to change those that will drag you down
and stop your forward motion.
We all
have egos that try to protect us from harm and embarrassment but I encourage
you not to allow your ego to make excuses for you. Instead, allow your soul and your inner self to speak to you
and share messages that will enable you to move away from your weak spots and
find the courage and power within to stand tall and honor your authentic self.
You are a gift from God who has come to Earth to fulfill your destiny and make
a difference in your world environment.
Embrace those thoughts and watch your life change for the better as you
begin to convince your mind, heart and soul that you indeed are special and
have something special to offer yourself and others.
