Life is
too short to waste your valuable time with those who are not happy, who don’t
have integrity and who lower your expectations.
Believe
it or not, God has placed the right people to come into your life but you must
accept them, choose them and seek those people into your life who are
uplifting, inspiring, wise and positive thinking individuals.
Proverbs
says: ‘If you walk around wise people, you will become wise.’ What ever qualities
of the people that you hang around, you will begin to be more like them.
So if they do not have the qualities that will motivate you, uplift you or
inspire you, move on and seek out better individuals who will enable you to
grow and become a better person.
How much conflict and heartache do we encounter
because we choose to stay with and hang around those who are debilitating and
negative influencers over our lives. It doesn’t mean that they are bad or mean
people. I am talking about your friends, relatives or even family members who
will drag you down and cause you to falter in your life due to their belief
system or attitude of mind. There is a point in your life when you
must take a look at who you are and where you are going and work towards
surrounding yourself with the right people. It is important to
gradually make positive changes and seek to associate yourself with those who
are inspirational, enlightening and filled with joy and laughter. I encourage you to hang around with those who inspire you. Set boundaries that are high--- invigorating and selective. We have a choice to make—choose to surround yourself with those who are up lifting, wise and people of vision. This is your time to aspire to be better and improve your lot in life. You have a lot to offer to the world that is why you must be responsible and expose yourself to those people who can strengthen your mind, uplift your soul and encourage you to have a healthier body.
Believe it or not, it is a principle of life—you soon become more like those who you hang around. Too many people are stuck and have limited their personal growth and development because they have chosen to surround themselves with those people who are also limited and corrupt in their thinking and expressing of them selves. Don’t compromise your destiny. It is wise to know that people who complain, flock around those who also complain. People who gossip seek out other gossipers.
Successful people seek out others who are successful. Hang around those who are disciplined, diligent in their lifestyle and gracious and appreciative of their surroundings. Your friends should be making you better; they should inspire you, encourage you and influence your life in a wonderful and powerful way.
Our youth today should be encouraged to surround themselves with friends who are good, God fearing and up lifting people. There are times in life when we need to be a good friend to others but at the same time we must surround ourselves with those who are also able to help us carry our load. God has lined up people in our lives who will encourage us, give us wholesome advise and be uplifting. We must listen to God’s words, the clues that you are receiving and cultivate relationships that will be wonderful and fulfilling.
God wants to bring the right people into your life
but it is your job and duty to move away from the wrong people so that you have
room in your life to be surrounded by the right people.
