“If
you do not change direction, you may end up where you are heading.”

We live in a fast paced world and too often we believe that all of our solutions and
answers come from there, but the truth is that the outside world adds to the
confusion and many of the difficulties that we face daily. We are continually told what is going
to bring us joy—many believe that if we have more stuff, we will be
happier. That is a false
belief. Every day we are faced
with stories that tell us about
all the things we need to make us happy, fulfilled and even successful but I am
here to tell you that it isn’t the material goods that we accumulate that makes
us feel fulfilled but rather the warmth, contentment and joy that we experience
within the depths of our heart and soul that actually fills our void.
If you are wondering how to create your joy, read on and I
will share my thoughts that have help me experience a life of inner peace and
joy.
1. First you
must choose to
bring joy into your life.
Experiencing joy is a conscious choice; therefore you must be a
proactive agent of change because it is through changing direction that you
will be able to make improvements that last.
2. Your
experiences are the result of your choices therefore, if you are seeking more
joy and happiness, you must create an environment where the seeds of joy and
happiness can be cultivated, nurtured and brought into your reality. That, of course, requires you to be
mindful of where you are placing your thoughts. Negative thoughts will weaken your state and eventually take
over and rob you of happiness.
3. We all
have challenges and situations that cause us stress but it is how we act and
react to those situations that will determine how one lives. Never forget that you are the creator
and source of your outcome so if you truly are seeking joy, then you need to surround
yourself with those experiences that will allow you to bring joy into your
world. If you like music, listen to it, sing
along and even dance. If you like
to cook, create your masterpiece that delights your palate. Walking in nature
and see with new eyes the earth that God created. That alone will definitely
change your heart and open you up to receive even more joy and inner peace. God
blessed this Earth with an abundance of joy and calming energy but it is up to
each one of us to seek it out and craft it to our liking.
