There is always a reason for our pain!

All of us have things we don’t understand about life in general and in our personal lives, in particular, that is because we don’t know the ‘WHY’.  Why is it part of our life and why is it happening.  It is like a piece of the puzzle that doesn’t seem to fit and somehow doesn’t appear to connect to the whole story.  We get lonely, physically or emotionally sick, lose a job or a relationship yet in the eyes of God, this piece of our lives is part of the bigger picture.  While this piece may be painful, the key to surviving it is to simply learn how to handle it and allow that piece to shape and mold us. We always have a choice to become bitter or better---weaker or stronger--- to go through it with resentment or fear or willing to grow through it and discover its purpose. If we act and observe with an open mind and heart, we will be in a better place to work through the pain and adversity and come out more whole.

Pain is not something we look forward to receiving.  It is usually a tough time in ones life yet it is helpful to remind ourselves that this too shall pass and greater times are in front of us.

You are a part of can-do power!  Learn to be resilient—persevere and stand tall believing that God sees and knows our painful moments but He is working with us to walk through them so we can learn the lesson that we needed to experience.  Once the lesson is learned we don’t have to go through it again.

you are an overcomerWe have all heard the saying: “No pain no gain.” God knows what we need when we need it.  That is why I encourage you to grow through all your painful times, so as to develop your character, your talents and your personal courage and strength.  Adversity is part of life and the sooner we accept that fact and face it we actually will be better prepared to move through the pain and/or adversity and come out better than before.

There are lessons in everything we experience in life! Don’t refuse to learn your lessons.  Maybe you need to let go of the past—change an attitude or behavioral pattern or even remove yourself from a toxic environment.   No matter what it is that is causing you discomfort—take a step back, slow down your energy and go to God, your Higher Source and seek His guidance.  The truth is often a hard pill to swallow but if you can remember these words, you just might move through this experience a little easier:  “if God brings you to it—He will bring you through it.”

There are uses to adversity, and they don't reveal themselves until tested. Whether it's serious illness, financial hardship, or the simple constraint of parents who speak limited English, difficulty can tap unexpected strengths.” Sonia Sotomayor
