Excellence is not about trying to be perfect. That is an illusion. Excellence is the gradual repetition of a
defined act or a series of actions that will eventually open the way to your
achievement(s).
Those who exhibit the attribute of excellence are.
1.
Those
who are willing to listen intently at the messages they receive so as to make
sure they don’t miss anything.
2.
They use their intelligence to seek answers as
they maintain a controlled emotional balance in all encounters.
3.
They plan their time wisely and set themselves
up for success.
4.
They
keep their positive energy level high, that is their physical and mental state,
and monitor their activities so as not to become overly exhausted and then of
little worth.
5.
They
have a clearly defined vision and purpose and work towards their intended
commitment with enthusiasm.
6.
They
never give up but rather continue to push forward knowing that they will reach
their desired goal because they are passionate about what they do.
7.
They
are never afraid to ask questions, seek new ways and possibilities and look for
ways of learning from others.
Aristotle put it this way: “We are
what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.”
We all make mistakes, we frequently have
weak moments and turn our thoughts towards negative behavior but in spite of
all of that, we can, each one of us achieve our level of excellence in our
lives as long as we continually strive to be the best that we can be on a daily
basis.
