How do you feel when you read the title above? Does it tug at your heartstrings?
Does it make you feel more important as an individual? Well, it should. Too many of you go throughout
life harping on all the reasons as to why you are so insignificant:
- · No one really likes me
- · No one sees my potential
- · No one understands me
- · No one thinks I can make anything out of myself
- · No one believes I can succeed
Have you said any of the abovementioned statements? In
most cases, some will use the "no one" term as a crutch so that they
can blame failure on random outsiders. Fact of the matter is that you are
ultimately responsible for your own failures, and you are also responsible
for your own successes. If you put all your eggs in one basket and drop them, well, chances
are that you dropped them and broke them yourself.
You counteract feelings of lack, unworthiness, despair and
pity by making the most productive choices for your life. You do this by creating a mental
checklist of the pros and cons to whatever path it is you want to take. Some
questions to ask yourself:
·
Is
this the path I truly want to take?
- · How will it help me to grow personally and professionally?
- · How will it impact my lifestyle?
- · What are the potential positive outcomes?
- · What are the potential negative outcomes?
Fact is that you are more important than you think you
are. Someone, somewhere is thinking about you and the life you are living right
now. As you are reading this, you may be thinking of someone else who is
equally important to you. Perhaps the primary reason you are reading this
article right now is because you feel that you need an extra vote of
confidence. Maybe you just need that little push to help you see the value that
you bring to yourself, to those around you and the potentiality that you have.
Believe it or not, you are just as important as the next
person. In the bigger picture, you are part of that Butterfly Effect. Each
action creates an equal reaction…but it is all determined by what you say, what
you do, and how you react. Your actions and responses do have an important
impact in your life and the world around you. Though it may be a subtle trigger
to a chain of events, the role that you play is critical to you, your
environment and to those who need and love you.
Understanding
Visualize yourself as a shining and brilliant star among
the great celestial cosmos. The light you emit, your shape, your
characteristics… you are unique as the radiance you project. Once you make the
clear realization that you are more important than you think, the greater you
become in every aspect in your life. Give yourself permission to shine and rise
beyond the negativity, and create the life you want to lead and deserve!
