We all have a
future to dream about, fantasize in or simply create. It takes curiosity and a strong belief in the power of your
thoughts joined with the passion in your heart and a strong willpower that
embraces the concept of never give up.
It often comes down to a self-realization – are you a trailblazer or a
Johnny come lately?
It really
doesn’t matter how old you are because using your imagination and creative
talents can be cultivated at any age.
It is rather more important to identify with what you perceive as your
purpose and function and how are you utilizing the God – given talents that you
were born with. We all can dream
and be inspired by the life or stories of others yet your transformation can
only be realized when you are ready to take action. For me, I have come to the understanding that if I want to
grow, create and be known, I have to move out of my comfort zone. I need to take a chance and willingly
try something new. I have no
problem in asking questions and I believe in the power of new possibilities but
it is the action part that required great discipline.
Courage and
inner strength are necessary character traits that will sustain you as you move
from the fear of failing to the joy of experiencing something new and
uplifting. In truth, no one can
predict the future, but we certainly can and must take an action step everyday
in the right direction if we want to reach our end goal. Some of the greatest thinkers and
achievers in the world reached their pinnacle through discipline, jumping over
hurdles, never losing faith and most importantly refusing to give up.
Indifference
is an enemy of progress and success.
If you are unwilling to try, you will not accomplish. If you are unwilling to start, you will
never get anywhere. If you are
unwilling to face adversity, you will live a life of boredom and if you are
unwilling to believe in the talents that you were given, you are a fool who is
very shortsighted!
There have
been on numerous occasions in my life a time when I doubted and moved into fear
because I didn’t know how to get started.
That is a common and normal feeling that many people have but I can tell
you without a shadow of a doubt that there is always a solution if you are
willing to follow the clues of life.
We all get them, most of us ignore them and too often we are completely
in the dark as to what they mean.
If you are a seeker and choose to build a path towards the future, it is
your duty and responsibility to open your mind and heart to the new and
unpredictable possibilities that life has to offer. It is perfectly okay to make mistakes, to trip and even
falter. It is perfectly okay to
express fear and doubt and it is perfectly okay to move slowly. It is not, however acceptable to
procrastinate, be passive or place your vision in a black or white world.
Flexibility
is key to success. Shoot for the
moon and even if you only land on a star, you have a least arrived in the light
where new possibilities await you.
“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that
counts.” –Winston
Churchill
