If life
throws you a curve ball, get over it!
It is easy to feel sorry for
yourself and play the woe is me syndrome but I encourage you not to fall into
that trap. People who succumb to
that belief and attitude end up sowing seeds of bitterness and when they take
root they only product bitter fruit.
A critical mind, words like life is unfair and God hates me are poison
pills that eventually destroy.
Don’t go there! Instead get
over it! Re-think your situation,
seek a healthy solution and continue to push forward knowing that God has a
plan for you and your life.
When you see everything
through a critical lens, bitterness follows you and taints your perception. Don’t go there. Possibly you need a life adjustment,
you know:
·
adjusting the way you
see your life
·
adjusting the words and
statements that you speak and think about
·
adjusting your attitude
and behavior
·
adjusting how you live
and the environment that you have surrounded yourself in
Start living in the present
moment and create the healthy habit of only allowing positive thoughts to enter
your thinking process. There is a reason and a purpose for all the struggles
and challenges that we encounter in life.
It is part of the reason we are here on Earth—to learn our lessons and
to remember to always seek God. To
trust in him and allow God to show us how to overcome whatever it is that we
are facing.
Nick Vujicic
is a man born in Australia without any arm or legs. If anyone should look at
life and feel bitter it is Nick but instead, he has accepted the hand that life
has dealt him and he travels the world sharing his messages of positivism and
trust in God. If this man can do it, you certainly can do it too. Don’t let a bad attitude or behavior pattern stand in
your way. When you open the door to negative
thoughts, the enemy floods your mind with more negativity and self-pity and
soon you are sinking deeper and deeper into anger, disappointment and
bitterness. If you take what looks
like a disadvantage and see it in a new light and with new eyes, you will be in
the right place to receive the gifts that God has in store for you. It is not a disadvantage in God’s eyes,
it is an opportunity to encounter your life in a different way.
Get over your
pity party! Get over feeling sorry
for yourself and get over living with the past. Don’t allow your life to be dictated by what others have
done to you, instead grow from those experiences. Resentment, anger, hurt feelings and abuse are simply
experiences that you encountered to teach you a lesson and to learn from. Once you have learned what you need to
learn, you no longer need to have those experiences again. Situations occur and re-occur in our lives
because we haven’t learned our lesson yet. This is the time to place your energy in the right
direction, let go of the past and understand the message so you can move on. Take responsibility for your situations
and empower yourself to change.
No one
determines your destiny but you and God.
Your life is secure in the eye of God. Believe, Trust and have faith as you declare: “I will not
let any thing or any one stop me from fulfilling my destiny.”
