People talking to people
are what changing norms and circumstances are all about. We share an idea, have
a solution to a irritating problem or we simple explore a new endeavor and
discover something new has transformed our lives and right away everyone is
benefiting. A simple example is, it has taken decades for people –the general
public and hospitals alike to finally get it—that washing your hands and being
sanitary helps prevents sickness and the spreading of disease. At the time this was a revolutionary
idea that many only scuffed at but with time it was proven that washing your
hands keeps you healthier.
So what other
revolutionary ideas should we pay attention to in order to improve the quality
of our lives? I was blessed to
have two of my grandchildren visiting me for a week. My 8-year-old grandson wants to be an inventor when he grows
up. His brain is always thinking
and he looks at life with curiosity and wonder as he seeks to find answers and
solutions to problems. I was
impressed and surprised to see how he constantly is talking—asking questions
and observing the world [from the eyes and mind of an 8-year-old.] He is not afraid to share his ideas nor
is he too timid or tired to write them down and show them to others.
Innovation and
creativity has changed the world.
It is because of people like Albert Einstein, Jonas Salk- the inventor
of the Polio Vaccine, Tim Berners-Lee who invented the World Wide Web, Bill
Gates, Richard Branson and Steve Jobs that we have enjoyed revolutionary
advances. But it doesn’t stop with
them; revolutionary ideas are ignited all the time by those who are curious,
driven with passion and simply have developed a better way to work, interact
and play. There is no end to
exploring revolutionary ideas because for every problem or difficult situation
there is a solution and man is the one who has unraveled the secret.
You are never to old or
to young to get creative. Just
like my 8-year-old grandson, get out a big pad and pen and write down or sketch
out your thoughts, dreams and/or designs that you believe will help the world
and its people. We have all profited from those who have done just that, for
example, with the evolution of people wanting to get things quickly, the drive
through window at the bank, the pharmacy and fast-food restaurants has
revolutionized how people receive products in a hurry and yet we sometimes hear
a car horn blast because someone behind you is in a bigger hurry and wants to
make the system work faster. We
are all changing our perception and the way we live daily without even thinking
about it.
We all have changed and
grown because of some revolutionary idea and some people have become very rich
over their ideas, so maybe it is time for you to fall into step, join in on the
phenomenon that is rapidly changing our thoughts and beliefs and brainstorm
about your new revolutionary idea.
Our world is still
evolving and so are its people so you might as well get on the fast moving
train and become an innovative and creative person who wants to share their
personal imaginative ideas and methods.
Don’t underestimate your potentiality! I am ready to move in that arena and share some of my
ideas with the rest of the world—I hope you will do the same.
