If you are feeling sorrowful
inside and are unsure how to rediscover your inner happiness, then you must replace your negative thoughts and
feelings with thoughts and feelings that make you happy. In their song, Room for Happiness, dance band Kaskade sings, "Don’t be fooled by your emptiness, there’s
so much more room for happiness." I believe a lot of individuals get
so caught up in their own miseries because they believe that is how they must
live.
Are your past experiences
with others tied to your self-inflicted suffering? More than likely that is the
case. But, when you change your belief
system and understand that you need no one's approval to be happy, then you
can start living a liberated and joy-filled life. After all, you are the owner of your emotions.
Start relying more on
yourself and doubting less what you can or cannot do. Do not worry about what
others may or may not think of you, or how others could or could not do
something better than you. It is not worth your tears to worry about something
that you have not yet attempted to do. Concentrate on creating happy in your life. Do everything you do with a skip in
your step, light in your heart, love
in your soul, and peace in your mind. Do not think about
whether or not you will fail or succeed.
Think only about the moment in which you are. Allow that moment to be the
center of your belief system and go
with the flow. Do not resist the powerful energy
of the Universe as it sweeps you off your feet.
But
I cannot create happiness because I am still getting over
______. [Fill in the blank.] Is this you? Do you make excuses for your own
misery? The hard truth is that it is
easy to fall into this cycle of self-defeat. It is easy to be angry and sad
because that is what some people will do to justify their life circumstances.
· I am unhappy because I am stuck in this job.
· I am unhappy because my relationship is struggling.
· I am unhappy because I never get ahead.
· I am unhappy because no one respects me.
· I am unhappy because I keep missing promotion
opportunities.
· I am unhappy because I am overweight.
· I am unhappy because I work too long.
· I am unhappy
because my finances aren't straight.
If any of the
abovementioned statements belongs to you, then you are just like the rest who
want to excuse their unhappiness and emptiness with untrue beliefs. There is
not one statement above that cannot be resolved. In fact, each and every one of
these issues has an answer and remedy
if you are willing to stop focusing on what you do not have and more so on what
you can have. Making excuses for the injustices in your life can become very
fooling to you. The more you believe
your excuses, the more you are fooled by your
own beliefs. There is so much more room for happiness in your life. You just have to begin replacing those
sorrows with all the blessings that
surround you.
