Some of us are challenged in our life time more than
others yet it is the test of our character that truly enables us to develop
ourselves as a person and reach our best and greatest potential. Character molds and helps to define us. It allows us to reach into the depths
of our soul and find the courage and strength that is needed to push through
the darkness. So many of us think
that life is about achieving our financial success or our educational success
but in truth it is more about exploring the many layers of you—Your soul, your heart
and your true essence so as to be in complete harmony and balance with
God.
The journey into your true essence combines all of your
experiences and enables you to
build your character, which is determined by how you face the challenges
presented in front of you. Some people give up and choose to run from their
challenges, but when that happens they lose the opportunity of refining and
cultivating their authentic self. Our character is built from the core or
depths of our soul and grows as our courage and strength becomes more
defined. Strength doesn’t come
from doing what you are capable of doing daily; it rather comes from overcoming
the things or situations that you once thought were impossible to do,
No one likes to face adversity. It is part of our nature to stay in the status quo yet some
people like challenges and consider them an adventure because they realize that
in order to have the greatness that they seek, you must fight for it.
I have found that when I am particularly challenged, I get
more creative. I use my
imagination to help me push through the situation and I actually start
enhancing some of my talents in ways that I never thought I was capable of
doing. All of our life lessons
help us to be more clearly defined and strengthen in ways we never though
possible. If you intend to achieve
your goals and enjoy your true life’s purpose, expect to come face to face with
adversity. It is part of the job
description.
“Character
cannot be developed in ease and quiet.
Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be
strengthen, ambition inspired, and success achieved.” -- Helen Keller
“Life is a series of experiences, each one of
which makes us bigger, even though sometimes it is hard to realize this. For
the world was built to develop character, and we must learn that the setbacks
and grieves which we endure help us in our marching onward.” – Henry Ford
Don’t
allow your challenges and adversity to break you, instead make it your goal to
break records and be the winner that you are destined to become.
