We all make mistakes but what is more important is to
remember that the mistakes are not the problem—it is our attitude and outlook
that will do us in and hinder our progress.
Our progress is definitely dependent upon the way we let our heart lead
our lives. If
you tend to get angry when you don’t perform perfectly, feel guilty and
inadequate, you are hindering your progress.
Don’t let your performance get mixed up with your identity. Because you are a Child of the most High God,
which means that you are a part of His greatness and perfection, you are more
than capable to reach your personal highest and best. Just like a child, we
need to creep and crawl before we run and jump. Therefore, what you do to earn a living is not
who you are but rather what you are.
Stop struggling with your identity, your character traits. How you think about yourself will determine
where you are going. If you believe you are unique and have something to offer
the world, you will perform at a higher level of expectancy than if you feel
inadequate and unworthy. It’s time to shake off your disapproval of yourself and
begin to walk in honesty and truth that you are a child of God and you can and
will reach your highest in this life.
When you are positive about yourself and your talents, you
are moving in the right direction. Seek guidance and support. Sometimes our
performance may not be perfect but if you maintain a pure heart and strive to
be better and do better as you learn and grow, you will, with time, reach your
goal. Your heart, your attitude and your
positive choices will always help you rise to be your best.
Learn to accept the situations that you are in at
the present moment. Explore what the learning lesson is for you to comprehend. Our Creator does not expect us to be perfect
but He does expect us to keep trying, to be willing to move forward and to
continue to accept and learn from the process that we are going through. We all make a mistake, that is part of our
learning curve, but the point is not to continually make the same mistakes over
and over again. Then we are being
foolish!
A person who is loving and kind, compassionate and
thoughtful and who lives his/her life with an open and willing heart will, with
time, improve their world surroundings and live in greater peace because that
individual is setting the right foundation to build a solid and fruitful
existence.
