People often think that if they don’t stand by their principles and
point of view their life will be compromised. Sometimes, however, we need to
find a common ground with which to work so that we do not create a greater
disaster or imbalance to society and to ourselves. If we willingly choose to heal our lives individually, we will
actually be moving towards healing the world.
A house divided is a strong
indicator that discourse and chaos are present.
Don’t ever confuse the power you have in voicing your opinion with that
of deliberating causing chaos. It is worth stating, however, that there is more
power in agreement and unity. That is
why we should be working towards bringing peace and unity into our personal
lives and into the world and not the opposite.
Every time we are overly principled, we are adding to the discourse and
strife in the world. When that happens
we magnify the situation and open the door to greater trouble. We can sometimes be working towards doing
what is right yet because of our unwavering principled attitude we cause
greater strife and discourse.
Make no mistake about it, Pride is
the devils, the enemies, most effective and destructive tool and it eventually
leads to disorder and destruction. Where there is strife there is discourse, ruin
and confusion. When we open the door to trouble we allow conflict and misunderstanding
in. It is sometimes better to stay on
the high road and refuse to be argumentative and so righteous because we need
to prove our point to others or the world.
Pride vs. humility is key
here. Do you always need to win the
argument? Sometimes it is better to
simply walk away and allow God to change the situation. Be a maker and maintainer of peace. Keep strife out of your life because it will
help towards keeping strife out of the world.
I think we sometime forget that we
actually need to live and co-exist in peace and harmony; that should be our goal!
In order for that to happen we need to change from an arrogant disdainful
approach and aim towards showing compromise and sometimes a deferential respect
for others opinions and different way of doing things or co-existing.
Arguing and a strong need to be
right is pride. Pride makes us insincere
and phony. In this world today, I
believe we need to work together and be willing to change and make some adjustments
in our attitude, behavior and the environment that we have cultivated. Wouldn’t it be better to simply humble
ourselves and admit that we need to team up together, and invite our Creator
into the mix so we can learn to work together for the higher good of all
involved?
Don’t make it harder on yourself
by opening the door to trouble. In order to heal our lives, we need peace in our lives and we need peace in the
world and it all begins with each one of us individually. So maybe it is time for each one of us to
stay on the high road, bit our tongue and move on instead of being so
principled that we cause greater conflict, strife and destruction? Be a
maker and a maintainer of peace because we all need to be the difference maker. It’s time to rise about the conflict and
consciously choose to build a foundation towards balance and harmony for
ourselves and for the protection of the world.
